Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Follow all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Keep all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is absent, oversee all hourly Associates.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
• Help maintain the sales effectiveness of the sales floor and seasonal areas.
• Coordinate signage and manage promotional displays.
• Process damaged merchandise daily.
• Assist in creating weekly schedules and managing store supplies and expenses.
• Maintain checkout area to maximize impulse sales and ensure stock levels of promotional items.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift and transport merchandise up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
