Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, staff, and supervisors.
6. Keep all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is absent, assume direct supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
8. Process all corporate directives related to store activities, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
11. Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
12. Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
13. Support promotional displays and seasonal areas to maximize sales.
14. Coordinate signage used in the store.
15. Manage store supplies and control expenses.
16. Assist with merchandising and maintaining checkout areas to maximize impulse sales.
17. Refill coolers and front displays daily.
18. Assist in creating weekly schedules.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport up to 50 lbs. of merchandise.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
