Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Maintain store areas, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not present, have direct supervisory responsibility for hourly Associates.
8. Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities as delegated by the Store Manager.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales floor management.
11. Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
12. Oversee promotional displays and seasonal areas to maximize sales.
13. Coordinate signage and merchandise replenishment, including coolers and displays.
14. Assist in creating weekly schedules and managing store supplies and expenses.
15. Maintain checkout area merchandising to enhance impulse sales.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
