Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional, friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Maintain all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is not present, have direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly Associates.
• Process all SSC Corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information, requests, and other communications related to store activities.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies and procedures.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales floor effectiveness daily.
• Manage cashiering activities to follow all cash handling practices and guidelines.
• Coordinate store signage and promotional displays.
• Manage seasonal areas and merchandise displays to maximize sales.
• Process damaged merchandise daily.
• Assist in creating weekly schedules and managing store supplies and expenses.
• Maintain checkout area and store-front displays to maximize impulse sales.
• Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
