Job summary

ACLUNV in Las Vegas is seeking a part-time Operations Assistant to provide essential administrative support to the Executive Director and the Finance & Operations Director. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with potential for full-time expansion for the right candidate.

Key duties include daily transaction recording, expense processing, inventory management, meeting logistics, minutes, and project support. QuickBooks and MS Office experience are required.

Qualifications

• Experience using QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience as an operations/administrative assistant or in a related role.
• GAAP knowledge is preferred but not required.

ABOUT THE POSITION

ACLUNV seeks applicants for anOperations Assistantposition in Las Vegas, Nevada.This role willprovide administrative support to Executive Director Athar Haseebullah, Esq. and to the Finance and Operations Director, Alexandria Hughes.This posting is for a part-time, in-person position in our Las Vegas office with hours between approximately 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. It's possible that after time and upon mutual agreement, the position may become a full-time position for the right candidate.

RESPONSIBLE TO:

Finance and Operations Director

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Payis based on experience and qualifications.Thepayrangefor this position is $20-25 perhour. Part-time employees are not eligible for benefits.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Record daily transactions, reconcile bank accounts, create journal entries, and generate financial reports via QuickBooks Online;
• Collect, review, and submit expense reports;
• Manage office inventory and ordering as directed;
• Prepare meeting agendas, gather necessary materials, andprovide logistical support;
• Take minutes, summarize discussions, and follow up on action items;
• Assistin the planning, coordination, and execution of special projects;

• Assistin managingvendors;
• Providegeneral administrative support and otherrelatedresponsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• QuickBooks (or similar) experience required;
• Microsoft Office experience;
• Experience as an operations assistant, administrative assistant, facilities coordinator, orin a similar role;

• Excellent organizational and time management skills;
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities;
• Ability to work beyond ordinary hours in some instances;
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) preferred but not required;
• Non-profit experience and accounting skills are a plus but not required.
