Operations and Data Coordinator
Greenville, SC • Hybrid • Full-Time • $23–$25/hour
The Opportunity
We're a growing company in the employee group benefits market looking for a technically strong Operations and Data Coordinator to own client onboarding, financial operations, reporting, and data management. Over time, this role evolves into overseeing AI-assisted workflows — a genuine growth path for someone who wants to build with technology, not just use it.
This is a ground‑floor position with direct impact. You'll work closely with a small, fast‑moving team and have regular contact with employer clients and insurance brokers.
You're a Strong Fit If You Have
- 2–4 years in a B2B operations, data, or client services role
- Hands‑on B2B client onboarding experience — checklists, coordination, multi‑step processes
- Strong financial and data analysis skills, including transforming raw data into clean formats
- Active use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) in a professional context
- A history of improving processes, not just following them
- Advanced Excel skills: financial modelling, data transformation, VBA or Python
- Benefits, insurance, or financial services experience is a plus, not a requirement
What You’ll Do
Client Onboarding (your primary focus — ~60% of your time)
- Onboard new employer clients end‑to‑end: presentations, checklists, data setup, system configuration
- Transform and standardise client data files (Excel, PDF) for internal use
- Set up tracking codes, maintain SharePoint files, update WordPress account pages
- Track and report progress across all active onboardings
Financial Analysis & Data
- Prepare custom pricing illustrations for prospective clients
- Perform monthly analysis to calculate savings‑share invoice amounts
- Audit incoming payments; maintain invoicing logs for accounting
- Calculate monthly partner and sales payables from contract and transaction data
Reporting & Communications
- Produce weekly and monthly reports for management and clients
- Manage a monthly calendar of compliance‑approved client communications
- Maintain master data sets for clients, vendors, and tracking codes
Process & AI Workflow Development
- Document and improve workflows as you run them
- Identify automation opportunities; help build and monitor AI‑assisted workflows
Required Skills
- Advanced Excel — financial modelling, data transformation, VBA or Python
- AI tools — active user; agent‑building or monitoring experience preferred
- Microsoft 365 — Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint
- Jotform or similar workflow/form tools
- WordPress — page creation and updates
- SQL or relational database experience — a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- $23–$25/hour starting, with growth as the role expands
- $300/month health benefit stipend — choose the plan that works for you
