Job summary

Athene offers a Reporting and Analytics internship to support Insurance Operations with dashboards, reports, and data-driven insights. You will partner with analysts and operational teams to understand processes and deliver meaningful analytics using Tableau, TIMBR, and Business Objects.

You will gain experience in data validation, data quality reviews, and ad hoc requests while developing Excel, SQL, and visualization skills.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, MIS, IT, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills with close attention to data accuracy.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; exposure to SQL, Tableau, or other data-visualization tools is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present information and insights.
• Ability to organize priorities, meet deadlines, adapt to changing needs, and work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
• Curious and proactive, with a willingness to learn new tools and processes, explore AI-enabled solutions, ask questions, and take ownership of assigned work.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and validate recurring operational reports and dashboards using Tableau, TIMBR, Business Objects, and other reporting tools.
• Gather and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational improvement.
• Perform data-quality reviews and support ad hoc requests to ensure reporting is accurate, complete, and reliable.
• Partner with reporting analysts and business teams to understand processes, reporting needs, and business requirements.
• Maintain clear documentation for reports, processes, data sources, and project deliverables.
• Complete an assigned analytical project and present findings and recommendations to team members and leadership.
