Ameritas Life Insurance Corp is seeking a Data Analytics - Business Intelligence Intern to empower internal stakeholders with data-driven insights and dashboards. You will build reports using Power BI and Cognos, analyze datasets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data needs.

This paid internship starts May 2027 and offers part-time during the school year and full-time in the summer, with 30-40 hours/wk in summer and 15-20 hours/wk during the school year.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a college program at least half-time in CS, data science, data analytics, or related field.
• Commit to a long-term internship with full-time in summer and part-time during the school year.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good Excel proficiency.
• Intermediate to advanced SQL experience is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Process and analyze datasets to support business stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain BI reports and dashboards in Power BI and Cognos.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and use cases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues and ensure timely reporting.
• Document processes and procedures and coordinate with IT/Data Engineering as needed.
