Job summary

ConocoPhillips is seeking an Operations Engineering Analyst to turn complex operational data into clear insights that improve safety, reliability, and performance across Permian Production Operations.

The role involves building dashboards, analytics tools, and data workflows; collaborating with field and office teams; and adapting quickly as systems and priorities evolve. Open to varied experience levels with emphasis on practical analytics.

Qualifications

• Experience integrating data from at least two source systems into a single dataset for reporting or analysis.
• Experience performing data preparation including joins, cleansing, validation, or transformation prior to creating reports or dashboards.
• Experience working with large datasets or operational systems, including analyzing, querying, validating, or reporting on business or operational data.
• Experience using AI tools to support analytical work, including at least one of: query/code generation, troubleshooting, data summarization, documentation generation, or process automation.
• Demonstrated ability to independently build and maintain dashboards, including connecting to data sources, data modeling, and publishing to end users.
• Experience using at least one BI platform such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve data directly from source systems and the data warehouse, including writing and tuning your own queries.
• Build and maintain data visualizations and dashboards to track production, downtime, efficiency, and operational trends.
• Translate data findings into clear insights that support day-to-day and long-term operational decisions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, HSE, Supply Chain, IT, and field teams to deliver practical analytics solutions.
