• Review and analyze criminal history records to determine firearm eligibility per Florida statute.
• Must maintain NCIC/FCIC certification and ensure data security.
• Able to follow the evaluator training manual and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review dealer requests to screen eligibility using the Firearm Eligibility System (FES).
• Enter buyer information into FES accurately.
• Evaluate requests by reviewing demographics and criminal justice data.
• Analyze information to ensure timely, accurate eligibility determinations.
• Monitor activities for compliance with laws and program requirements.
• Provide professional assistance to dealers and the public via the service lines.
• Coordinate with local/state/federal agencies to obtain complete information.
• Route cases to the proper research unit as needed.
