Job summary

Dayton T. Brown, Inc. in Hollywood, MD is seeking an Operations Analyst to join the Mission Systems Division on-site.

The role centers on coordinating estimates, scheduling, and material planning for DoD upgrades to military aircraft and ground systems. You will collaborate with Operations and Program Management to develop BOMs, labor projections, and production reports, and ensure schedules meet deadlines while maintaining inventory levels.

Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree in a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of five years of professional estimating or scheduling experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Project and Excel
  • Strong organizational, clerical, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Experience in a manufacturing or shop environment
  • Experience using ERP and/or MRP software
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Ability to work full-time (40+ hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Operations Management, Program Management, and other divisional stakeholders to develop and maintain BOMs, labor projections, and estimated cost of production reports in response to incoming RFIs, RFQs, and other new business activity
  • Assist in developing and refining standardized processes for estimating material requirements, labor, and other program needs to improve planning accuracy and consistency
  • Coordinate with Production Management to establish and maintain shop floor and field service schedules, ensuring all ongoing efforts are allotted the proper resources to meet program requirements
  • Adjust and deconflict resource allotment schedules across multiple projects as necessary to accommodate changing priorities, customer requirements, and production constraints
  • Coordinate material planning activities to ensure required parts and consumables are available to support production schedules while maintaining efficient inventory levels and minimizing unnecessary procurement
  • Provide administrative support to the production office and manufacturing floor as required
  • Follow company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Travel within CONUS and outside CONUS to support setup, operation, and breakdown of mobile mission ground support equipment systems as required

If you're ready for the challenge of working for a dynamic, multi-divisional corporation, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Operations Analyst to join our Mission Systems Division, on-site in our Hollywood, MD location.

The Mission Systems Division supports Department of Defense (DoD) rapid prototyping and limited-rate production of upgrades to military aircraft and ground systems, with a focus on the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) community. From design and prototyping through production and lifecycle support, Dayton T. Brown and its industry partners provide comprehensive sustainment solutions for these critical systems.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Operations Management, Program Management, and other divisional stakeholders to develop and maintain requirements driven Bills of Material (BOMs), labor projections, and estimated cost of production reports in response to incoming RFI's, RFQ's, and other new business-related activity.
  • Assist in developing and refining standardized processes for estimating material requirements, labor, and other program needs to improve planning accuracy and consistency.
  • Coordinate with Production Management to establish and maintain shop floor and field service schedules, ensuring all ongoing efforts are allotted the proper resources to meet program requirements on or ahead of program deadlines.
  • Adjust and deconflict resource allotment schedules across multiple projects as necessary to accommodate changing priorities, customer requirements, and production constraints.
  • Coordinate material planning activities to ensure required parts and consumables are available to support production schedules while maintaining efficient inventory levels and minimizing unnecessary procurement.
  • Provide administrative support to the production office and manufacturing floor as required.

  • Travel within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS) to support the setup, operation, and breakdown of mobile mission ground support equipment systems, as required.
Qualifications
Required
  • 4-year college degree in a related field, preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional estimating or scheduling experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Project and Excel.
  • Strong organizational, clerical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or shop environment.
  • Experience using ERP and/or MRP software.
  • Ability to interface professionally with customers, managers, engineers, and technicians.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to plan, organize, and manage own workload with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to work full-time (40+ hours per week).
Preferred
  • Aviation maintenance administrative experience.
  • Work area supervisor or management experience.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 5-25% annually). Typical trips range from two days to two weeks.
