Operations Analyst

Position Overview

The Operations Analyst is a versatile position supporting both legal and general business operations across the organization. This role is designed to act as a service-oriented partner to business units, helping them maximize the efficiency, accuracy, and productivity of their processes and reporting. Analysts collaborate closely with stakeholders, gather requirements for process and reporting buildouts or improvements, and advise on performance metrics to ensure operations run smoothly and effectively. The position offers hands-on exposure to data management, systems analysis, process optimization, and legal operations, providing an ideal platform for professionals eager to develop broad-based skills in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage general operations tasks such as referral intake, service and firm transfer processes, scheduled reporting, and provide post-implementation support, escalating issues as needed.

  • Act as a primary contact for business units, developing relationships to understand needs, document requirements, and deliver process and reporting build-out or improvements.
  • Evaluate processes and system capabilities to enhance operational efficiency and support informed decision-making through relevant tools and insights.
  • Compile status reports, dashboards, and analytics, integrating performance metrics and reporting data to support business unit productivity.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including data clean-up, maintenance of reporting instructions, user acceptance testing, and development of guides and training resources.
  • Document workflows, procedures, and meeting outcomes, contributing to firm-wide initiatives and automation projects.
  • Adapt to evolving requirements and perform multiple functions to maintain effective service and consistent performance for business units.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, legal studies, finance, or related field preferred but not required)
  • Experience in administrative, legal operations, or data/reporting roles
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and reliability in task completion
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to document processes clearly and deliver timely, accurate work independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in business, operations, legal studies, or a related field (Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred)
  • Experience in business analytics, legal operations, financial services, or process improvement—internship or entry-level experience accepted
  • Hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Office and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel advanced functions, reporting/dashboard software)
  • Programming skills (such as SQL) and familiarity with data analysis, statistical techniques, and automation
  • Experience with process mapping, requirements gathering, data quality management, or workflow automation
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms for data storage and management
  • Background in the legal industry, especially lender services (foreclosure or bankruptcy), is highly desirable
  • Ability to apply data-driven insights to improve quality, efficiency, and performance
