Wallenius Wilhelmsen is seeking an Operations Analyst in Houston for a one-year contract. The role focuses on reconciling inventory discrepancies, performing audits, and supporting 3PL coordination with SAP Mach1.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of experience, expert Excel skills, and solid SAP Mach1 knowledge, enabling accurate investigation of root causes and continuous improvement opportunities in a high-pressure environment.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of equivalent experience.
• Expert level Microsoft Excel – formulas (VLOOKUP’s, MATCH), Pivot tables, charts and graphs.
• Intermediate SAP Mach1 experience including Good Receipts, Inventory, open Inbound Deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Perform random and scheduled inventory and receipt audits.
• Reconciling on-hand inventory, discrepancies, and shipment errors.
• Execute Inbound Receipts into Mach1 and investigate aged/missing ASNs.
• Communicate adjustments to Supply Chain Management and document root causes.

We collaborate, we care, we challenge every day to keep the world in motion and transform logistics into zero emissions, carbon-free industry.This position is a one (1) year contract.Starting salary is $48,000 - $60,000 based on experienceJOB PURPOSE:To perform the functions necessary to reconcile all inventory grief, including on-hand overages and shortages, supplier discrepancies, operations return grief, receipt grief, shipment errors, and posting receipts. Maintains cooperative team relationships with onsite 3PL. Must perform systematic SAP Mach1 (or other materials system) research based on historical inventory movements to determine appropriate course of action for reconciliation.JOB DUTIES:Performs random and scheduled inventory and receipt audits as directed. Must be able to work independently while promoting cooperative team relationships in day-to-day support of the facility and 3PL. Conduct counts on physical inventory, track inventory, and identify sources of discrepancy. Communicate all adjustments and issues to Supply Chain Management group. Investigate and document Root Cause Corrective Action for discrepancies.Performs the daily function of Inbound Receipts into Mach1 as well as system investigation for aged/missing ASNs.Performs various reconciliation functions relating to inventory control and receipt accuracy of Caterpillar on-hand material, supplier discrepancies and shipment errors.
