As an Underwriting Operations Analyst, you’ll complete a high-volume portfolio of transactional work supporting the policy lifecycle after the underwriting decision. You’ll manage assigned work from start to finish while meeting service level agreements, productivity expectations, and quality standards, with opportunities to strengthen your operational expertise, support process improvements, and contribute to initiatives that help the business operate more effectively. Location: This position will be based out of our Charlotte, NC office. You’ll join a collaborative team that values continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence while supporting the continued growth of our Insurance Operations organization. Complete an assigned volume of transactional work supporting the policy lifecycle, including binder reviews, policy issuance, renewal notices, renewal solicitations, cancellations, reinstatements, workflow management, and related operational processes. Manage assigned work from receipt through completion, consistently meeting established service level agreements, productivity expectations, and quality standards. Analyze operational data and workflow trends to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and customer experience. Partner with Operations, Underwriting, and internal business partners to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent execution of operational responsibilities. Provide production support and operational flexibility by assisting with workload balancing, high-priority business needs, onboarding, cross-training, and knowledge sharing. Develop expertise across Guidewire, ImageRight, and other operational systems while supporting team capability, operational consistency, and future process improvement initiatives.
3+ years of experience in commercial insurance operations, underwriting operations, policy administration, or a related insurance operations role. Working knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance operations, with the ability to understand policy lifecycle processes and operational workflows. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize work, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience with reporting or data visualization tools is preferred. Commitment to accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement; experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, ImageRight, similar insurance platforms, or workflow optimization is preferred.
Salary Range: $55,000 – $95,000. Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.
