Job summary

CarbonBetter in Austin, TX is seeking a detail-oriented operations professional to support gas trading and invoicing workflows. You will map gas flows in Entrade, balance volumes for accurate invoicing and P&L allocations, and assist with risk management and asset optimization.

The role requires a four-year analytical degree, strong Excel skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. On-call rotation and occasional nights/weekends are expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Confirm traded volumes and nominate gas in pipeline and utility systems.
  • Support traders by responding rapidly to information requests and monitoring constraints.
  • Communicate clearly with counterparties, customers, and internal teams to build goodwill.
  • Map gas flows and balance volumes in the ETRM (Entrade) for accurate invoicing and P&L allocations.
  • Support portfolio P&Ls, including rate setting, asset optimization, trading positions, and risk management.
  • Review and approve pipeline transportation invoices; investigate discrepancies with Accounting.

Job description

Position Overview
  • Confirm traded volumes and nominate gas in pipeline and utility systems.

  • Support traders by urgently responding to information requests and actively monitoring operational constraints.

  • Clearly and proactively communicate with counterparties, customers, and representatives to foster goodwill and cultivate strong relationships.

  • Map gas flows and balance volumes in the ETRM (Entrade), ensuring accurate invoices and P&L allocations.

  • Support portfolio P&Ls, including rate setting, asset optimization, trading positions, and risk management.

  • Review and approve pipeline transportation invoices.

  • Investigate invoice discrepancies and provide support to the Accounting Team.

Note: On-call weekend rotation and occasional nights and weekends are required.
