Job summary

Southwest Airlines Co. is seeking a part-time Operations Agent to help flights depart safely and on time. You will assist Customers boarding, verify weight and balance, and collaborate with Ramp and other airport teams to keep operations smooth.

New hires undergo 4–6 weeks of training. The role involves weekend/holiday shifts, potential overtime, and access to benefits including health coverage and retirement plan participation.

Qualifications

• Must be GSC qualified.
• Must comply with DOT drug and alcohol testing program.
• Ability to read documents and follow ramp procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provides friendly service to Customers and maintains positive relationships.
• Liaises with Ramp, Operations, and Provisioning to ensure on-time departures.
• Coordinates boarding and deplaning via the boarding bridge and jetways.
• Monitors flight details and updates Dispatch with changes.
• Ensures aircraft are properly provisioned and cleaned prior to departure.
• Operates in gate, ramp, and station areas with safety in mind.
