Job summary

Girls on the Run NYC is seeking an Operations and 5K Director to oversee daily operations, finance, volunteer management, technology, and project work, including city-wide 5K events. You will report to the Executive Director and collaborate across departments to strengthen processes and systems.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities with hands-on execution and strategic planning in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience in operations, administration, project management, or a related field.
• Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with QuickBooks, AP/AR, invoicing, and reconciliation support.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning and execution of the fall and spring city-wide 5Ks, including timelines and logistics.
• Manage routine financial administration, including bills, reimbursements, invoicing, and accounts payable/receivable.
• Oversee day-to-day office operations, records, and organizational systems.
• Coordinate volunteer recruitment, outreach, and events with staff and partners.
