Job summary

CACI International is seeking an experienced Operational Test Engineer to lead test design, planning, execution, and reporting for Navy-related programs. You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, ensure timely data collection, and maintain thorough program documentation on Norfolk-based projects.

The role requires 6+ years in OT&E and T&E, experience with COMOPTEFOR-approved test plans, and the ability to work on-site in Norfolk, VA, with readiness for travel and a DoD SECRET

Qualifications

  • Must have a combination of 6 years' operational experience and T&E experience, with at least 3 years operational and 3 years T&E.
  • The identified T&E specialist has an undergraduate degree or relevant experience.
  • Experience within the last two years conducting an Operational Test and Evaluation IAW a COMOPTEFOR-approved Operational Test Plan.
  • Experience in developing Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Accreditation Packages and Accreditation Letters.
  • Ability to support data collection and test execution onboard a US Naval vessel at sea.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be willing to travel and ride ships underway.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance.
  • Must be willing to work on site in Norfolk, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Direct test design, test planning, test execution, and test reporting efforts for the assigned programs per the Director's policies and guidance.
  • Coordinate communications with internal and external stakeholders including the T&E Working Integrated Product Team (WIPT) and program office staff.
  • Coordinate review of program documentation to assess inputs to test design and planning.
  • Direct test execution with Fleet stakeholders and ensure data collection per the approved test plan.
  • Modify test conditions or schedule as needed and keep leadership informed for safety.
  • Direct team in preparing test reports and contribute to Warfare Development Center (WDC) guides.
  • Keep iBoss Program Manager current for assigned projects and monitor the Document Router for timely signatures.
  • Brief program status and test results.
  • Maintain a program-specific chronological record of decisions and issues.

The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on, and productive Operational Test Engineer to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for leading the test team in test design, test planning, thorough test execution to include detailed data collection, and analysis to ensure observed results are accurately evaluated and documented in the Test Report in support of NSWC Corona operating out of Norfolk Virginia.

Responsibilities:

• Direct test design, test planning, test execution, and test reporting efforts for the assigned programs per the Director's policies and guidance.

  • In coordination with the Section Head or designated representative, ensure assigned team provides clear and consistent communications relevant to OT with internal and external stakeholders. Principal liaison with program office Assistant Program Manager (APM) T&E and member(s) of the T&E Working Integrated Product Team (WIPT) for assigned programs within the portfolio.
  • Coordinate review of relevant program documentation, both to provide feedback regarding testability to the originator and to assess inputs to test design and test planning.
  • Direct test execution, in coordination with Fleet stakeholders, and ensure test data are properly collected in a timely manner per the approved test plan.
  • Plan for and be prepared to modify test conditions or schedule, keeping division leadership informed, if unusual circumstances are encountered or if warranted by safety concerns.
  • Directs team in preparing test reports and contribute to Warfare Development Center (WDC) tactics guides, as directed.
  • Ensure iBoss Program Manager is current and accurate for all assigned projects. Actively monitor iBoss Document Router in the progress of applicable documents toward timely signature.
