Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an OT Systems Engineer to support design, configuration, installation, and maintenance of DMS, SCADA, ADMS, and related OT platforms in the energy sector. The role includes collaboration with field teams, engineering, planning, and dispatch to ensure reliable grid operations.

You will learn real-time T&D control systems, troubleshoot issues with senior engineers, and contribute to regulatory compliance while supporting continuous improvement of OT architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (ABET preferred).
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in OT or power systems.
• Foundational knowledge of hardware, software, and networking concepts.
• Interest in learning real-time T&D control systems and OT environments.

Responsibilities

• Support design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of DMS, SCADA, ADMS, and related OT platforms.
• Assist with configuration, installation, and maintenance of OT systems for reliable grid operations.

Job description

• Support the design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of DMS, SCADA, OMS, and related OT platforms
• Assist with configuration, installation, and maintenance of OT systems for reliable grid operations
• Support development and maintenance of ADMS power system data models
• Help configure and support DPF, FLISR, and VVC applications
• Support GIS data extraction, translation, and loading into ADMS
• Provide daily operational support for OT systems used by field teams, engineering, planning, reporting, and dispatch
• Troubleshoot issues and escalation complex problems to senior engineers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support OT applications and improve system performance
• Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and improve processes through technology
• Support documentation, including current and future OT architecture diagrams
• Participate in testing, deployment, and validation of system updates and enhancements
• Support regulatory compliance activities
• Participate in the OT team on-call rotation
• Support vendor coordination and assist in evaluating tools and solutions
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred ABET-accredited institution)
• 1–3 years of relevant experience
• Basic understanding of power systems, SCADA, or industrial control systems
• Foundational knowledge of hardware, software, and networking concepts
• Interest in learning real-time T&D control systems and OT environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and learn from senior engineers
