Your Role: Manufacturing Engineer Advisor

Reporting to the OT Director at Elanco Central Engineering, the OT Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for providing cybersecurity services for operational technology (OT) within Elanco's global manufacturing environments. You will collaborate with Elanco Information Security and other IT teams, working closely with process automation and engineering teams across all manufacturing sites worldwide to enhance the security and reliability of OT systems and networks. This pivotal role will shape the future of Elanco's OT systems, ensuring they are compliant and secure. It offers an excellent opportunity to develop and demonstrate OT cybersecurity expertise in a multidisciplinary environment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead and coach multidisciplinary teams at global sites.
• Collaborate with Information Security, IT, and local OT teams to develop and refine the OT cybersecurity strategy.
• Write, review, and maintain standards, procedures, and training plans related to OT cybersecurity.
• Develop strategies for implementing cybersecurity technologies in OT environments, considering differences from IT environments (e.g., 24/7 production, safety risks, patching, antivirus processes).
• Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor the health and effectiveness of the OT cybersecurity program.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering, Technology, or Computer Science.
• Experience: Proven experience with ICS systems (Rockwell, Siemens, Emerson preferred) in manufacturing.
• Key Skills: Strong technical expertise, curiosity, decision-making, and effective communication and influence skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience, ideally in regulated industries such as FDA, EMA (EU GMP), Animal Health, Pharmaceuticals, Critical Infrastructure, or Biotech manufacturing.
• Experience with OT/IT cybersecurity practices and tools.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across organizational boundaries.

Additional Information:

• Work schedule: 8-hour Monday-Friday with flexibility.
• Occasional off-schedule work, both on-site and off-site, may be required.
• Domestic and international travel for site visits and supplier meetings.
• Location: Global Elanco Headquarters, Greenfield, IN — Hybrid work environment.
