Job summary

Honda Development & Manufacturing of America in Marysville, OH seeks an Operational Technology Cybersecurity Engineer to establish and enforce security controls across manufacturing networks, ICS/SCADA, and smart factory automation.

You will define OT security standards, integrate new machinery securely, and perform threat modeling and risk reporting for factory floor systems, coordinating with IT/OT teams to address emerging threats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• 0–2 years of OT/ICS experience preferred.
• Strong networking and security fundamentals.
• Excellent communication between plant engineering and IT teams.

About the Role:

Honda Development & Manufacturing of America is seeking an Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity Engineer in Marysville, OH. You will establish and enforce cybersecurity controls across manufacturing plant networks, industrial control systems (ICS/SCADA), and smart factory automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and implement OT security standards, access control policies, and risk controls for manufacturing hardware.
• Integrate new automated machinery into the industrial plant network while ensuring security vulnerability mitigation.
• Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and risk metrics reporting for factory floor systems.
• Audit industrial control systems and ensure adherence to operational technology cybersecurity frameworks.
• Benchmark emerging industrial cybersecurity trends and collaborate with IT/OT teams on threat response.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 0-2 years of experience with industrial control systems (ICS), machine control networks, or OT security.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols, firewall architectures, and cyber risk mitigation.
• Strong communication skills to liaise between plant engineering and enterprise IT departments.
• Continuous learner with enthusiasm for smart manufacturing and industrial IoT security.
