SUMMARY OF ROLE:

12 hr. Day Shift Openings and Night Shift Openings

An Operational Technician IV is responsible for the effective operation, changeovers, and day-to-day operations of machines and equipment. They also provide technical assistance for solving issues with production machines and equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure conformance to electrical codes & OSHA safety requirements for facility and production equipment, following safety guidelines.
  • Support routine & preventive maintenance with mechanical and electrical skills.
  • Assist the shift maintenance team in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Act as a resource for PLC programming, variable speed drives, electrical & pneumatic controls, mechanical systems, etc.
  • Troubleshoot & repair production machine equipment and systems.
  • Contribute to preventive & predictive maintenance to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Make electrical connections for devices as needed.
  • Interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, & mechanical schematics for troubleshooting.
  • Support sanitation & housekeeping standards.
  • Identify root causes of issues to minimize downtime.
  • Inspect and maintain machines regularly.
  • Perform quality checks on machines.
  • Ensure manufacturing lines have necessary supplies and resources.
  • Participate in daily maintenance checklists.
  • Coordinate production changeovers with proper procedures.
  • Accurately record production data and report completion.
  • Support the introduction of new technology.
  • Display teamwork and communication skills with a positive, hands-on approach.
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout protocols.
  • Report safety or product issues immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Ability to work safely and follow policies and guidelines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Flexible, multitasking, with a positive attitude.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of product lines, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with automation, pneumatic/vacuum technology, and measuring tools is a plus.
