The Data Center Technician IV must possess expert knowledge and be responsible for ensuring the operational integrity and regulatory compliance of data center electrical, mechanical, fire life safety systems, and communications infrastructure.

We are hiring for the Night Shift: 10:00pm - 8:00am, Wednesday-Saturday.

Responsibilities include managing chilled water systems, HVAC units, critical power distribution, fire safety systems, and communications infrastructure. The role involves working closely with the Data Center Manager to maximize uptime, ensure quick problem resolution, and implement cost-effective strategies.

Duties:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for electrical, mechanical, controls, and fire life safety systems.
  • Operate, monitor, and respond to abnormal conditions across various facility systems.
  • Track and analyze operational data.
  • Mentor junior staff.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules and requirements.
  • Optimize data center efficiency and minimize operational costs.
  • Manage systems to prevent outages and ensure cooling capacity.
  • Ensure compliance with fire and electrical codes.
  • Draft procedures for maintenance activities.
  • Assist with database management of maintenance and site issues.
  • Handle trouble tickets, work orders, and infrastructure projects.
  • Utilize CMMS systems and assist with inventory management.
  • Ensure equipment labeling and timely process completion.
  • Provide physical security and exceptional customer service.
  • Document incidents, monitor fire alarms, and conduct security tours.
