Job summary

Applied Intuition, Inc. is seeking an Operational Safety Lead to design and maintain safety programs for ground, maritime, and flight test operations. You will set safety requirements and guide risk evaluations across diverse programs including UAS and autonomous vehicles.

The role requires leading-test experience, a degree, and active guidance on safety compliance, with travel up to 25% and in-office work at multiple U.S. locations. Strong risk management and training duties are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years industry experience.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Graduate of a certified test pilot school or at least 10 years of testing experience to include leading test teams.
• Maintenance, experimental, developmental, or production test experience.
• Experience handling ordnance.

Responsibilities

• Set company safety requirements.
• Collaborate with vertical leads to ensure SOPs support safety requirements.
• Evaluate risks for each project with project leaders.
• Serve as impartial arbitrator of risk and take direct safety authority when risk exceeds Medium.
• Stay informed of regulatory guidance and best practices for operational safety.
• Provide safety training and host safety stand-downs.
