Job summary

Bank of China is seeking an AVP to oversee the Operational Risk (OR) framework, policy and reporting for branch operations in the United States. You will consolidate risk data from multiple teams and produce ORM reports for Head Office, while supporting governance and regulatory engagements.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree, with 5 years in banking and 2 years in risk management, plus strong knowledge of OR concepts and governance practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 5 years of experience in the banking industry.
• 2 years of experience in risk management.
• Knowledge of operational or enterprise risk management concepts, framework, methods, and good governance practices.

Responsibilities

• Risk aggregation and reporting: collect data from departments, QA data input, consolidate data and report to executive committees.
• Governance: administer the Operational Risk Committee (ORC) and maintain ORD policies and procedures; facilitate regulator and audit meetings.
• Management: ensure adherence to policies and procedures and support department strategic objectives.
• Administration: asset management, record retention, and ad hoc requests.
