Job summary

Hudbay seeks a Document Controller & Operational Readiness Specialist in Sahuarita, AZ to establish and manage a centralized document control system for all Operational Readiness deliverables. The role supports planning, tracking, and control of OR activities across all functions, ensuring documentation is complete before commissioning and handover.

You will monitor milestones, coordinate with the OR team and project teams, and help generate readiness progress reports and executive summaries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in administration, engineering, or related field.
• 4 years of experience in document control, project controls, or operations support roles.
• Proficiency in document management systems and tools.
• Ability to track milestones, dependencies and readiness progress.
• Knowledge of project scheduling concepts and Primavera/MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Implement a document control system for procedures, manuals, systems documentation, and other OR records.
• Manage document control and all Operational Readiness deliverables.
• Track status and delivery of procedures, manuals, and readiness documentation.
• Ensure quality and completeness of OR documentation.
• Support OR reporting and coordination with stakeholders.
• Maintain the OR deliverables register and tracking systems.
• Support planning, tracking, and control of OR activities.
• Monitor progress against the Integrated OR Schedule.
• Identify schedule deviations and missing deliverables.
• Support handover documentation and readiness verification.
