Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Project Management Consultant to lead complex facility, expansion, transition, and activation initiatives. You will oversee operational readiness across all phases, from planning through post-implementation stabilization, partnering with Facilities, IT, clinical operations, and support services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in business or related field and at least 4 years of relevant project management experience or Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of relevant project management experience
• Project management (PMP) certification strongly preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, active listening and facilitation skills
• Experience managing, executing, and sustaining major change initiatives
• Demonstrated ability to initiate and complete large-scale projects
• Excellent writing skills and the ability to disseminate information effectively
• Advanced experience in computer applications including Microsoft Office, SmartSheet and SharePoint

Responsibilities

• Leads operational planning, readiness, transition, and activation activities for complex initiatives
• Coordinates multidisciplinary teams and facilitates decision-making
• Develops readiness and activation plans and mitigates operational risks
• Monitors milestones to ensure organizational preparedness
• Collaborates with Facilities, IT, clinical and operational leaders and other project managers
• Works primarily onsite with potential travel across the James and OSU Medical Complex
