Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks an Operational Psychologist (PhD) to support U.S. Air Force Special Warfare Training Wing, delivering assessment, resiliency, and specialty mental health services for mission readiness.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide care across training and operational environments at Joint Base San Antonio–Lackland, TX. The role requires APA-accredited internship completion, an active state license, and 2+ years of direct experience

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an accredited university.
• APA-accredited internship/residency in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
• Active, unrestricted state license for independent practice in Texas or applicable state.
• Minimum 2 years of full-time experience with Military/Special Operations or related agencies.
• Meets DoD licensure and privileging requirements; BLS certification current.

Responsibilities

• Conduct, administer, and interpret psychological assessments for special operations and high-demand roles.
• Provide consultative support to Special Warfare leadership and coordinate projects.
• Analyze processes across functions to inform readiness recommendations.
• Prepare detailed reports communicating findings to military leadership.
• Collaborate with coaches and staff to integrate resiliency and performance techniques.
• Deliver limited scope counseling to Active Duty personnel within the unit.
• Provide Specialty Mental Health Care within the MTF aligned with DoD standards.
