Job summary

OIA Global is seeking an Operational Excellence Specialist to help launch and grow a Customer Control Tower initiative in the US, with flexible location from Chicago or Cincinnati. You will oversee end-to-end supply chain visibility, coordinate stakeholders, and drive improvements across transportation, warehousing, and customer operations.

You will apply SAP-enabled order management expertise, manage exceptions, and lead root-cause analysis to deliver world-class service.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, customer operations, or Control Tower environments.
• 2+ years in Supply Chain, Logistics, 4PL, or Control Tower.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience with SAP-enabled order management.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the launch and ongoing development of a new Customer Control Tower operation.
• Monitoring supply chain activity and proactively managing operational exceptions.
• Acting as a central coordination point between customers, carriers, warehouses, and internal teams.
• Leading the resolution of supply chain disruptions, delays, shortages, and service issues.

• Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities through operational data analysis.
• Supporting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Helping establish and refine standard operating procedures, governance, and performance reporting.
• Ensuring customers receive a consistently high level of service and operational support.

Job description

We are looking for an Operational Excellence Specialist to play a key role in establishing and supporting a new Customer Control Tower initiative. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing operation from the beginning, helping to create the processes, governance, and ways of working that will drive world‑class customer service and supply chain performance.

As part of the Control Tower team, you'll provide end-to-end operational visibility, manage supply chain exceptions, coordinate stakeholders, and help ensure seamless execution across transportation, warehousing, and customer operations.

Location is flexible in the US based from Chicago, Cincinnati or other locations considered.

What You'll Be Doing

Key Requirements

This role requires a strong understanding of SAP-enabled order management and supply chain processes. Candidates without significant SAP order management experience are unlikely to be successful in this role.

What we are looking for

• Experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, customer operations, or Control Tower environments
• Strong problem-solving and decision‑making skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working with operational KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools
• Knowledge of ERP, TMS, WMS, or supply chain visibility platforms is advantageous
• A proactive mindset with a passion for delivering operational excellence
• 2+ year experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, 4PL, Control Tower

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting or standing for extended periods during office work or site visits
• Regular use of computer and telephone systems
• Occasional use of stairs or extended walking across warehouse yards
