The Control Tower Specialist will support multi‑site warehouse operations by analyzing operational data, monitoring performance, managing irregularities, and driving process improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for turning operational data into actionable insights, supporting KPI reporting, and helping standardize warehouse processes across locations.
This position is ideal for someone who combines warehouse operations understanding, strong analytical skills, and a hands‑on, improvement‑oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Analytics, Reporting & Operational Performance Management
- Analyze operational data to identify performance trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain operational reports, dashboards, KPI trackers, and management presentations.
- Support reporting automation and improve reporting efficiency by reducing manual work.
- Monitor operational irregularities, issue status, and corrective action progress across warehouse locations.
- Translate operational data into clear, actionable recommendations for management and warehouse teams.
2. Productivity & Workforce Analytics
- Monitor and analyze CPH (Cubic ft Per Hour), labor utilization, productivity, and operational volume across warehouse locations.
- Support workforce, capacity, and resource planning by analyzing workload, staffing levels, productivity trends, and operational requirements.
- Identify productivity gaps and provide data‑driven recommendations to improve labor efficiency.
- Develop recurring productivity and workforce reports for operational and management review.
- Support capacity and resource planning based on business volume and operational requirements.
3. Warehouse Quality, Standardization & SOP Management
- Monitor warehouse quality KPIs and operational compliance across multiple distribution centers.
- Conduct and support warehouse audits, operational reviews, and performance assessments.
- Develop, maintain, and improve warehouse SOPs, SWIs, and operational guidelines.
- Support implementation of standardized processes and promote best practices across warehouse locations.
- Track improvement actions and measure results to ensure sustainable operational improvements.
4. Cross‑Functional Operational Support
- Partner with warehouse operations, HQ, internal stakeholders, and business partners to resolve operational issues.
- Support cross‑functional projects related to warehouse performance, quality improvement, productivity, and process optimization.
- Assist management with ad‑hoc operational analysis and business decision support.
- Support implementation and follow‑up of operational improvement initiatives across multiple sites.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or above.
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, 3PL, SCM, operations planning, operations management, or data analysis and reporting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both field teams and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze problems structurally and translate findings into improvement actions.
Preferred
- A degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in 3PL or warehouse process improvement / innovation initiatives is preferred.
- Experience in warehouse KPI management, productivity analysis, quality management, or SOP standardization is preferred.
