Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb in Summit, NJ is seeking a Manager, Operational Excellence to lead continuous improvement across manufacturing and supply chain. You will coach frontline teams, drive lean initiatives, and partner with site customers to elevate performance while upholding quality and compliance.

This role leverages Toyota Production System tools, A3 problem solving, 5S, and tiered huddles to build daily improvements, manage capacity, and improve throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Business/Science or related discipline.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of Operational Excellence experience in biotech/pharma.

Responsibilities

• Coach site-wide manufacturing, supply chain, and support functions.
• Lead A3 problem solving at all levels of the organization.
• Develop and mature tier management systems with real‑time escalation.
• Deploy 5S and visual management; support Yellow Belt at frontline.
• Design and facilitate kaizen events and gemba documentation.
• Drive throughput improvements and waste elimination across value streams.
• Support quality and regulatory readiness; ensure cGMP compliance.
• Build capacity models and KPI-driven decision support.
