Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Manager of Operational Excellence at the Summit West facility in New Jersey. The role drives continuous improvement across manufacturing and supply chain, coaching frontline teams and partners through structured problem solving and lean methods.

You will deploy 5S, Kaizen events, and tier management, track KPIs with data analytics, and support regulatory readiness. Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is preferred; 5+ years in OpEx in biotech/pharma.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Business/Science or related discipline.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt /Black Belt from an accredited institution preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of Operational Excellence experience in biotech/pharmaceutical industry.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an internal CI coach across manufacturing, supply chain and support functions.
• Facilitate and coach A3 problem solving at all levels of the organization, from frontline teams to functional leads.
• Develop and mature tier management systems, coach teams to use tiered huddles for real-time problem identification and escalation.
• Deploy 5S systems and visual management tools; support Yellow Belt program to build frontline lean capability.
• Design and facilitate kaizen events and gemba-based process documentation and future state design.
• Drive TAT improvements and waste elimination across key value streams.
• Support compliance through internal OpEx and Lean Belt methodologies.
• Develop capacity models and workforce utilization analyses to identify resource needs.
• Use BI/data analytics to track KPIs and support decision making.
