Job summary

Avantor is seeking an Operational Excellence Leader for our Massachusetts manufacturing site to develop and sustain continuous improvement initiatives. You will drive performance using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and DMAIC while partnering with site leadership to build a culture of high performance.

You will oversee Technical Project Management, Manufacturing/Process Engineering, and Training to ensure strategic initiatives are executed, capabilities developed, and processes optimized for safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• MBA preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required.
• 8-12 years manufacturing, engineering, operational excellence, or operations leadership roles.
• 3-5 years of leadership experience managing teams, technical functions, and complex business initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site's Operational Excellence roadmap and deploy Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and Value Stream Mapping.
• Coach, mentor, and train employees on continuous improvement principles and tools.
• Oversee site Technical Project Management, Manufacturing/Process Engineering, and Training functions.
• Develop standard work, visual management and daily management systems across the site.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, QA, supply chain and leadership to prioritize strategic initiatives.
