Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products is seeking a Manufacturing Excellence professional to lead lean initiatives and capital improvement projects in the Mid-Atlantic region. The role travels 75-90% across NC, PA, CT, and NY, collaborating with production, engineering, quality, supply chain and EH&S teams.

The position is onsite, located near one of our NC plants (Concord/Raleigh area) with potential duty locations in other regional sites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in precast or similar environments.
• Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement.
• Experience leading capital projects and driving cost reductions.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply lean methods to improve production with safety and quality focus.
• Identify opportunities for significant regional improvements and influence profitability.
• Provide training and guidance to plant teams implementing lean processes.
• Lead and coordinate plant-level change management and capital projects.
• Optimize plant layouts and flow to cut waste and costs.
• Lead workshops to address bottlenecks and inefficiencies in operations.
• Deliver kaizen coaching and lean tool training to staff.
• Track progress of improvement initiatives and ensure on-schedule completion.
• Translate operational needs into project requirements and specs.
• Prioritize opportunities by profitability, time, risk and cost to implement.
• Prepare capital project business cases with scope and ROI analysis.
• Support leadership in identifying high-value investments and approvals.
• Monitor expenditures to stay within budget and ensure governance.
