Tucker Company Worldwide, Inc. in Haddonfield, NJ is hiring an Operational Excellence Manager for full-time work in our Operational Excellence department.

You will lead training, optimize resources, onboard staff, manage performance, and drive profitable freight transaction management, pricing alignment, and carrier capacity strategies. Expect collaboration with Business Development and DOE on growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• College degree
• 5+ years’ experience in customer service, sales, or other customer-facing position in the transportation industry
• Intermediate to Advanced understanding of the freight brokerage, 3PL, transportation, or supply chain industry
• Intermediate to Advanced MS Office skills, primarily with Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Power BI and SharePoint
• Ability to analyze, parse, and present data to make recommendations and build strategic plans
• Ability to use and learn new software and technologies
• Enthusiasm to negotiate service and pricing in a live environment
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Cultivate strategic leadership and mentorship across all team members through ongoing training and development initiatives
• Manage and optimize team resources
• On-board, assimilate, manage, and develop Capacity and Customer Experience team members
• Ensure direct reports training records are managed and completed on time
• Execute optimal freight transaction management
• Recommend additional resources to DOE as needed
• Mentor and develop team members to support growth and satisfaction
• Identify and leverage technology needs to drive growth and productivity
• Communicate proactively with internal and external customers and carriers
• Lead onboarding strategies for new customers with Business Development
• Align pricing strategies with market intelligence to meet profitability and load goals
• Collaborate with Capacity Development to source carrier capacity
• Maintain carrier relationships and resolve service failures using CAPA processes
• Attend select customer visits and industry events to enhance relationships
• Document conversations in Tucker’s CRM for cross-functional visibility
• Collaborate with DOE, Business Development, and senior leadership on account projections
• Set goals for Capacity Specialists and maximize profitability with cross-functional teams
• Position Tucker as a Broker of Choice by forging deep carrier relationships
