Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems in Norfolk, VA is seeking an Operational Analyst to support capability development and programmatic decision-making. You will contribute to Course of Action analysis using Operations Research methods and produce detailed analytical reports and decision briefs.

The role requires a quantitative bachelor’s degree or 5+ years in OA/Data Science, experience with stakeholder engagements, risk and cost/schedule analysis, and travel up to 60 days per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent 5+ years in OA/OR.
• Experience in military OA/Operational Analysis supporting policy or capability development.
• Experience designing stakeholder engagements to elicit objectives, assumptions, and risks.
• Experience developing data collection plans and assessment frameworks.
• Experience applying OR/OA methods to defence issues.
• Experience producing cost and schedule estimates and risk analyses.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Course of Action analysis using Operations Research methods to mature capability requirements.
• Plan and conduct research to assess qualitative and quantitative operational effectiveness.
• Interact with research entities and industries to study various alternatives and their impact.
• Support the creation of RFIs and surveys.
• Analyze risk, cost, schedule, and performance to inform decisions and briefs.
• Produce decision briefs, reports, and lessons learned summaries.
• Travel to meetings and conferences up to 60 days per year.
