Job summary

The Venetian Resort Las Vegas is seeking a Staff Accountant – Operational Accounting to perform varied audit and accounting functions for gaming, hotel and complimentary revenues. Responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, and tax preparations while ensuring compliance with GAAP and LVSC policies.

Responsibilities also cover month-end close, regulatory reporting for NGCB, and internal controls adherence.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board registration.
• 2–3 years of finance or accounting experience.
• Familiar with general ledger operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
• High ethical standards and ability to cope with change.
• Excellent presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries for daily audits and monthly close for all gaming and non-gaming revenues.
• Close month-end, quarter-end and year-end general ledger accounts for gaming and non-gaming operations.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and annual compliance for NGCB, Clark County, NV and SOX.
• Ensure GAAP-compliant financial outputs and management reports.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts related to gaming and non-gaming audits.
• Review package programs and ticketing calculations for proper accounting.
