Job summary

QPS Employment Group is partnering with Placon in Plymouth, MN to hire an Operating Technician for 2nd or 3rd shift. The role offers $22.50–$23.00 per hour with reliable hours and opportunities to grow in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include setting up, operating, and troubleshooting thermoforming equipment, inspecting tooling, and ensuring product quality. Must pass safety guidelines and documentation requirements.

Qualifications

• One year manufacturing or related experience.
• Ability to read, write and speak English to meet training, safety and quality requirements.
• Ability to operate forklift.
• Able to bend, stoop, climb, reach and stand for long periods.
• Occasionally lift 10–50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, operate and troubleshoot equipment to produce thermoformed parts to specification.
• Inspect machinery, equipment and tooling prior to set-up.
• Identify issues and communicate with appropriate department personnel for resolution.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning.
• Ensure part quality meets established standards.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Complete shift documentation/paperwork.
• Go over job status and updates with incoming shift.
• Participate in safety programs.
• Follow good manufacturing practices.
• Housekeeping duties.
