Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Prior OR/surgical experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes.
• Assist surgical teams during operations by passing instruments and supplies as needed.
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection control standards throughout procedures.
• Inspect and ensure proper functioning of instruments and equipment before and after use.
• Manage inventory of surgical supplies and restock to prevent delays.
• Assist in cleaning, sterilization, and storage post-procedure.
• Document procedures and instrument counts to ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support OR turnover and a safe environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
