Job summary

Avala is seeking an Operating Room Technician to support anesthesia providers with equipment and supplies, and to assist the intraoperative team during routine and complex surgeries. The role includes patient transport, positioning, and maintaining sterile equipment.

Strong communication and multitasking skills are essential. Candidates should have a high school diploma and BLS certification, with OR/perioperative experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Required: High School graduate and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider.
• Preferred: Knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy and physiology.
• Experience in Operating Room and/or Perioperative settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia providers with acquisition, preparation and application of equipment and supplies for anesthesia.
• Transport and position patients; ensure sterile environment and proper functioning of equipment.
• Coordinate flow of supplies and instruments between SPD and OR; maintain equipment in all intraoperative areas.
