Munson Healthcare in Traverse City seeks dedicated hospital_support staff to assist with patient care, equipment handling, and safe transport of patients throughout the facility. This role supports sterile instrument handling, OR turnover, and daily care tasks to help maintain a high standard of patient safety.

Responsibilities include opening sterile supplies as directed, assisting with positioning and prepping patients, and maintaining OR supply par levels.

You Will Learn How To:

• Opens sterile supplies and instruments as directed by operating room (OR) staff.
• Safely transports surgical patients to and from the OR.
• Assists with position and prepping patients.
• Obtains/returns equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Assists with turnover and cleaning of operating rooms between procedures.
• Maintains supply par levels within the OR.
• Performs specimen hand-off and understand the proper handling of all specimens per policy.

• High School Diploma/GED
• BCLS required or be obtained within 6 months of hire
