Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program preferred.
• Completion of a UofL Health surgical technologist training program preferred.
• Military training program in surgical technology considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operative area and maintain aseptic field throughout procedures.
• Pass instruments and counts needles and sponges during surgery.
• Receive and handle surgical specimens as directed by surgeon.
• Prepare operating room and assist with room turnover.
