Job summary

Palmdale Regional Medical Center in Palmdale, CA seeks an Operating Room Tech to support safe, quality patient care under the supervision of the Department Manager, RN and/or LVN. This role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to standards, and a proactive approach to patient safety.

The position requires a minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care hospital or successful completion of an operating room course. BLS is required, CPI within 30 days of hire; OR course completion is preferred.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care hospital or successful completion of an operating room course.
• Successful completion of an operating room course preferred
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) training.
• CPI is required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Department Manager, Registered Nurse and/or Licensed Vocational Nurse, provide safe, quality nursing care to assigned patients.
• Project a positive public image and maintain a courteous attitude.
• Support OR safety and efficiency during procedures.
