Qualifications

• Associate degree in Surgical Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months surgical technologist OR experience in lieu of formal education.
• Familiar with sterile field maintenance and instrument handling.

Responsibilities

• Checks supplies and equipment for the procedure and adjusts instrumentation as needed.
• Maintains sterile technique and reports any breach immediately.
• Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, and equipment before incision.
• Performs medication labeling under RN supervision.
• Assists surgeon by handing instruments and supporting tissue exposure as directed.
• Contributes to post-procedure room turnover and instrument decontamination prep.
