Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the perioperative team. You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining instrumentation, equipment, and supplies, while collaborating with the surgeon and RN to ensure safe patient care.

Required graduation from an accredited surgical technology program and BLS; NBSTSA certification must be obtained within one year of hire. This is a full-time position at Mayo Clinic locations, with standard 8-hour rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• NBSTSA certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and efficient care to the surgical patient under the supervision of the RN and in collaboration with the surgeon.
• Function primarily in the scrub role and be responsible for selecting, preparing, and maintaining instrumentation, equipment, and supplies.
• Apply sterile and aseptic technique and adapt to unpredictable perioperative situations.
