Qualifications

• One year experience as a surgical technologist is preferred.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Knows and follows aseptic techniques when performing scrub duties.
• Performs scrub duties in service areas.
• Assists with implementing the patient’s plan of care within the scope of practice for surgical technologists.
• Accesses medication and supply rooms to retrieve items for patient care.
• Transports and escorts patients to various areas.
• Maintains and prepares instruments, equipment and supplies for operative cases.
• Supports patient and family interactions with care teams; maintains confidentiality.
