Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• Completion of an anatomy and physiology course preferred.
• On-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Assembles needed supplies/equipment before and during procedures.
• Sets up sterile field and assists with draping the patient.
• Hands sterile supplies and instruments to the surgeon and assistant.
• Practices sterile technique and maintains standards of care.
• Takes assigned call.
