Job summary

Salina Regional Health Center, Inc. seeks a Specialty Technician to support nurses in delivering quality patient care. Under supervision, you assist with vital signs, patient transport, and routine interventions, and you inform the nurse of significant changes.

You will interact with other departments, perform cleaning, and restock supplies, ensuring a clean, well-supplied unit under the direction of the professional nurse. Night shift coverage is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Successful completion of a certified nurse assistant training course; the SRHC Spec Tech University; satisfactory completion of foundations course in nursing school; successful completion of an EMT training course; or 3 years nurse assistant experience.
• 1-2 years nurse assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and monitor patient status.
• Transport patients between units as needed.
• Assist the professional nurse with interventions.
• Inform the nurse about significant changes in patient condition.
