Job summary

Providence St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, CA is hiring a Surgical Technician to join the operating room team. The role works full-time ten-hour day shifts under the supervision of the Registered Nurse Circulator and maintains the sterile field during surgery.

You will pass instruments, sutures, and sponges, uphold aseptic technique, and assist with circulating duties. Preferred candidates have OR scrub experience in spine, joints, cardiac, or eye-service cases, and hold ATS accreditation

Qualifications

• Graduate of a program accredited by the Association of Surgical Technicians.
• National Certified Surgical Technologist required on hire.
• National Provider BLS required on hire.
• Experience scrubbing in spine, joints, cardiac, or eye-service cases.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the operating room sterile field and pass instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery.
• Ensure aseptic technique to prevent contamination and infection.
• Assist the registered nurse with circulating duties.
