Job summary

Atlas Healthcare Partners' Banner Surgery Center - Gilbert in Mesa, AZ is hiring a Surgical Technician to assist in the operating room with instrument handling and sterile supply management. This full-time role supports surgeons by passing instruments, maintaining aseptic technique, and ensuring case carts and surgeon preference cards are accurate.

The selected candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and the ability to stay calm in emergent situations while staying

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required;
• BLS certification required;
• Must be conscientious, organized and able to respond quickly in emergent situations;
• Level I: 0-3 years of experience; Standard: 3+ years of experience

Responsibilities

• Prepares for surgical procedures by pulling appropriate instruments and supplies;
• Anticipates surgeon's needs and passes instruments during surgery;
• Demonstrates aseptic technique and universal precautions throughout procedures;
• Maintains accurate surgeon preference cards and pick lists;
• Assists with OR turnover and stocking of supplies;
• May provide administrative support to the department as assigned
